TMA - Hands-On training courses for Utilities and Street Authorities
The training courses will take the form of a workshop. Each delegate will have the opportunity to use an Insight workstation, either exclusively, or more commonly, shared with a colleague.
The workshops will introduce delegates to the new Insight 2.5 Street Works system, incorporating all the functionality for the Traffic Management Act and the new EToN 4 Technical Specification, both of which are mandatory from 1 April 2008.
The Street Authority Course will also cover the way in which the system may be used to meet the needs of street authorities, to control and co-ordinate works activities on the highway, minimise disruption, and execute the Network Management Duty effectively.
The Utility Course will also cover the way in which the system may be used to meet the needs of works promoters, to ensure conformance with statutory requirements, and minimise the potential liabilities of noticing failures.
It is Symology's view that it is crucial for ALL staff involved in Street Works noticing (either sending or receiving), or in the management of these functions, to go on these courses. The changes being introduced in the TMA are both massive and fundamental. Attendance at this one-day training course is the absolute minimum requirement.
Customers wishing to attend these courses should make arrangements as soon as possible in order to get the dates they favour, as demand is likely to be very high.
