Insight Enterprise is designed specifically to provide an integrated solution for the management of infrastructure, including land and property, highways, structures, public lighting, and distribution networks. The flexible and comprehensive facilities make it the ideal product for managing the life-cycle of assets, and ensuring that required service levels are achieved and maintained across the whole enterprise.
Insight for Highways
All functions from cyclic inspections and routine maintenance works through to condition projection and strategic pavement management are encompassed within the fully integrated Insight for Highways system. The latest technologies of mobile devices, machine-based surveys and GIS representation are utilised to maximum benefit. Powerful multiple linear referencing facilities allow each function to utilise the most convenient form of network referencing, whilst the full life history of assets becomes available for management information.
Insight for Street Works
The Street Works Register provides comprehensive functionality for both service utilities, highway authorities and traffic managers. Works may be initiated and progressed through a programmed life cycle which accommodates the functions of permission and co-ordination, aimed at minimising traffic disruption. This includes validation to conform to established noticing or permit rules.
Electronic communication of information between participants, map-based representation of work, and public accessibility services via the internet are all provided.
Insight for Street Lighting
The powerful Contract and Works Management facilities which are provided throughout the Insight range, are matched by comprehensive functions which are specifically designed for Street Lighting and Furniture. The user-defined asset inventory accommodates the wide range of attributes required, and supports specialised functions including energy calculations, bulk cyclic works and equipment warranties. Powerful embedded mapping and customer service options supplement the central asset management facilities.
Insight for Bridges & Structures
Insight for Bridges and Structures is a computer system designed specifically to provide a solution for the management of bridges, retaining walls, culverts, gantries and other similar structures. It may be operated as a standalone system, or as part of an integrated highway asset management system.
Insight for Contractors
The Works Management module provides comprehensive facilities for contractors within Insight. The intimate integration between the client and contractor functions enables all applicable data and system facilities such as street gazetteers, asset data, inspections data, mobile and mapping functions etc. to be utilised by both parties - enabling huge operational efficiencies to be gained – whilst providing the ultimate level of transparency between client and contractor.
A multi-faceted range of facilities and user permissions cater for the vast array of different contractual relationships that exist today; including traditional client/contractor arrangements, target cost contracts, partnerships, PFIs and open book accounting.
Insight for Pavement Management
Insight for Pavement Management is a system to assist in the determination of structural maintenance policy and programmes. Condition data which may be collected from a variety of visual or machine-based surveys is evaluated in conjunction with all other life history data for the assets. The condition of different aspects of the pavement and associated structures is determined and appropriate treatments derived.
Deterioration modelling techniques and cost/benefit analysis are utilised to evaluate different long-term strategies, and ensure optimum allocation of available funds.
Insight for Customer Service
Of course, the standard facilities of a Customer Service system are provided, in the form of report recording, action tracking, escalation, and document production. However, Insight also offers unique benefits for infrastructure assets, including referencing to the asset base, GIS integration, user-definable actioning programmes and links with other parts of the asset management systems. Insight for Customer Service may be used to integrate with a corporate CRM system to provide functions specific to infrastructure assets, or may itself be used as the central system.
